For us here at AmbitionABM, we understand that we are very fortunate when it comes to our jobs and security.
We know that in a time of a cost-of-living crisis here in the UK, not everyone will be in the same position: we may all be in the same storm, but we are not by any means, all in the same boat.
For the over 65s in particular, this ongoing crisis has had a significant impact on them already in 2022. According to a report by Sky News earlier this year, it was estimated that 20% of pensioners are living in poverty- and this is likely to increase as the cost-of-living crisis worsens over the coming year and we enter an unpredictable 2023.
From lack of access to technology and online services; accessibility issues and lack of transport; isolation and loneliness; to even purely out of pride. The elderly generation in this country are struggling to speak up in a need for help and are unable to access food banks independently.
In fact, in a publication from the British Food Journal back in 2018, it was stated that only 1.4% of those who were claiming food parcels were aged over 65.
Listening in to a local parish council meeting last month, our own CEO was dejected by the concerns that are being raised regarding the safety and welfare of those over 65, during a time of economic uncertainty, and a difficult winter ahead. It also helped us to understand the vital work and support that local charities and parishes do, in order to support those most in need.
Which is why for AmbitionABM, 2023 will be a year of change.
Over our 3 years of operating, AmbitionABM have had a multitude of successes and achievements- and now we want to give back through our future account-based marketing work.
Which is why, for every ABM programme we deliver, we will be donating £1k of our revenue towards a local charity or parish council, to help support the over 65s during the cost-of-living crisis- and we won’t stop there.
From volunteer days to door drops, we want to help support those who will need it the most during the cost-of-living crisis- and your ABM programmes will help to do just that.
We talk all about how we build and nurture rewarding relationships with our ABM clients. But that shouldn’t stop at them and their accounts. We should be building more relationships and supporting those on our doorstep.
With our client’s support, we can help to provide food parcels and other essentials to the over 65s, especially when they may be struggling to access it themselves.
So, if you would like to make a change in 2023 and help support a worthy cause, then get in contact with Ambition ABM today, and begin your ABM journey with us.
